I have an 06 trailblazer which has a 0017 obd code. After some light research I replaced the cam shaft timing actuator solenoid 60 bucks and about twenty minutes later it was installed. Problem is I still have the code. what else would cause this code. Take into account I reset the ECM drove over 100miles and it is still not cleared the MIL

sludge build up in the oil passage is the reason for this code from lack of maintenance. you need the oil system flushed with cleaning agents to get all the sludge out of the system. hopefully it clean out the system. if not, an overhaul is in order. you may have to replace the solenoid again after flushing as it has been contaminated with sludge already.
