Not without visiting the dealer. GM has been very clever at separating owners from their money after the sale. That's one reason they are losing repeat customers. Your radio contains the Body Computer which all the other computers, (a maximum of 47), must communicate with before they will turn on. This was done so you can't replace the radio with an aftermarket one that is much more reliable. A different GM radio can be installed but it must be programmed by the dealer. GM is the only manufacturer that ties up the ability to do that so no independent repair shops can do the programming for you. In addition, if anyone ever pressed the "lock" button on the GM scanner, all of the other computers will be electrically tied to that Body Computer. If you replace the radio / Body Computer you will have to replace all of the other computers on the car. Those old computers will not work in any other cars either. That programming can not be undone. Got'cha.
