Hi There,

I have a Ford Fiesta 1.4 2005 model, the car has been in an accident when I bought it from a friend but the car was starting and running smoothly.

After I had sent the car to the auto pallbearers I got the car back looking new again. But after connecting the Battery to the car for the first time after the accident, the car wont start. Initially I thought it was a shortage of fuel as the car ran dry so I got some fuel but that did not solve the problem.

initially the car does not display any error codes to look it up? But when I try to start it its turns over but does not fire up?

Is there any fix to this problem?

Thanks in advance.

U will need to get a can of starting fluid then spray it into the intake and see if it starts.

Hi Cadieman,

Thank you, ill sure get a can of it tomorrow and give it a shot.

Just to confirm when you mention Intake, are you referring to the pipe going from the air filter to the engine block with a little swiveling looking thing inside?

Hi Cadieman,

Thank you for confirming, we have tried what you have suggested by spraying the starting fluid straight into the intake.

After a few attempts the car seems to be starting but iam afraid that was not the case as it starts for 1-2 seconds and dies once I let go of the ignition, so we investigated what the cause of this might be and we discovered that the injectors is not getting any fuel.

We have determined this by disconnecting the main fuel intake pipe to the injectors and sucking on the line, which had good results that the fuel indeed is in the line but no reaching the injectors.

Is there a possibility that the fuel pump might be damaged? If so where on the car would we find it?

Also we have check for any fuses that might have been blow but all appears to be 100% fine, this includes the 1 relay and the 1 fuse?

Is there any other method that we can conduct in-order to sort this problem out?

Thank you for the assistance thus far.

Could you direct me to the injectors fuses as I have check in the fuse box but there is no indication as to which "one(s)" is for the injectors?

And does the car only have 1 fuse box? "Behind the storage box on passengers side"? Or is there more fuses spread throughout the car?

Also does the car make use of a fuel pump? If so where would I find it as I have checked the car from front to back and did not find it, I only found the fuel filter beneath the car?

Thanx
