Dash board light flicker, gauges start bouncing sometimes engine quits

This sounds like a possible battery or low voltage issue. So that means we need to start with checking the voltage of the battery and make sure it is able to handle the required load by load testing it.

Lastly the negative battery cable needs to be checked to find out if it good ground and both battery terminals are clean and tight.
