2004 Subaru Outback with 4cyl auto won't start. Turns over very well. Spark seems OK by pulling the wire and shorting it to the top of a plug with a screwdriver. The fuel pump puts out lots of pressure too. Was working fine and then just one day it will turn over and over, but never catch.

Make sure the spark is a hot blue snapping spark. Make sure the fuel pressure is within spec, and make sure the injectors are working.

Welcome back:

Are there any lights staying on indicating it is related to the security system?
