oil started coming out of a hole on the back side of the engine it has a plug that fits into the hole to stop the oil from coming out someone called it a freeze plug but the name of the cap we ordered was called a circular packing plug

Not sure which you are referring to. A freeze plug is designed to pop out if the engine coolant freezes. Its goal is to prevent the block from cracking. Can you better explain where the plug is located?
