I just had the transmission rebuilt on a 2004 dodge stratus automatic. Everything is fine with the transmission. The car started fine for 5 days. I have a secondary market remote control starter. Yesterday I tried the remote starter. The lights flashed but the car did not start. I went outside to start it with the key. The engine just cluncks once and won't turn over but my radio, lights, door locks, etc. Work fine. I cannot even jump start it. Could this be something that happened when the transmission was repaired or is it a seperate problem and if so what could it be?

Nope. Keep trying it. It will crank eventually. The contacts inside the starter solenoid are worn. They can be replaced for 20 bucks but most people just replace the entire starter. The problem will gradually get worse over the next few months.
