oil leakage

does oil leakage from oil filter have anything to do with timing issues.I have a ram 1500 2004 dodge that has alittle oil on the side of the filter.I just had my timing cover and gasket replaced at the dealer,the oil leakage on the side of the filter was the reason i went.

Wipe the filter off and determine if the leak is coming from the filter itself or another place. Chances are there may be a slight leak at the filter if the gasket was just replaced.
