Can a free spinning pulley be put on the compressor and disable the a/c unit? Serpentine belt broke, but the tensioner was locked up and the a/c compressor pulley is hard to turn.

Did you replace tensioner? Some makes and models, you can get an ac bypass pulley to use in place of compressor. Sometimes a shorter belt might work? With a bypass pulley, you should be able to use your regular belt.

I haven't tried yet to look up bypass pulley for this vehicle?

Another thought is to measure around the pulleys minus the ac. Then go to your local autostore see if they will let you measure some of their belts. See if you can find one that will work?

I found this belt part number for you to take a look at, 2.4L sohc, w/o ac, goodyear--4050429. Found that at rockauto. Com. If you order something online, try to be sure before you order. I don't know if your local auto store can order that belt or not?

Look up the info I gave you, to double check. I'd hate for you to order and then find out it won't work.
