Put it in park manually and didn't start up?

Hello, I changed my transmission fluid last week and all was well, I went to turn on the truck and turned on just fine, then put it in drive but found out I broke the shift cable, truck was stuck in reverse, I then turned off the truck while it was in reverse. I went under the truck and put it in park manually and didn't start up. I replaced the cable and all should be well but no. I checked all the fuses and the burnt one was for the cig lighter. I then replaced the nss neutral safety switch tried in different positions and nothing. Me and my dad thought we might have to reset the security system but don't know how or if its the problem at all. Any help would be great, I start a new job June 8th lol. But I have a 2004 silverado 1500 work truck everything is base. Thanks to everyone that's helped

This could be the security issue so we need to find out if the theft light is flashing or remaining on solid?

However, I am thinking we still have an issue with the park neutral switch so I am attaching the process below on how to replace it.

When this cable breaks it can cause damage to the switch but when you replace it there is a process that needs to be followed or it could cause it to still not start.

When you turn the key to start the engine does the engine crank or does it not do anything? If the engine cranks then the switch is not the issue.

However, we need to start with this info and figure out what the next step is.
