I replaced the fuel pump on this truck a few weeks ago a precision pump. Prior to that, the previous owner replaced it also a yr ago with an ac delco pump. Which went bad as well. It is now doing the same thing. It's like the fuel is not getting through. I can flip the key switch back and forth a few times, then it will crank or i can tap the fuel tank. Now neither of those are helping. Could it possibly be something different or the fuel pump again?

Thank you

Probably just another bad pump. Don't use anything but Delco.

You need to check the harness plug real good. They have a history of having poor connections there. Most of the pumps come with a replacement plug pigtail now. Make sure the contacts are good and tight.

Ok thanks. I know the fuel pump has been replaced 3 times in the last 2 years. Two of them were Delco. So, I was thinking it may be something else. I will get it checked. Thanks again

1) Make sure the inside of the tank is clean

2) Never run the tank below 1/4. That is a sure way to burn out the pump.
