My 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.2 Ecotec Engine with Manual Transmission. I was having someone to replace my whole Clutch set and he had to removed the whole Transmission to get to the Clutch and as he was removing lots of parts and screws around the Transmission he accidentally broke off one of the rubber end of the transmission shifting cable that attached to the outside of the transmission. Is there a way to do some kind of mickey mouse job to repair the end section side of the shifter cable? It looks to me that the rubber end of that shifting cable that attached to the transmission can not be glued. Any advice? I called some of the known auto parts store and all of them says that it's a dealer's Only parts, so i called Chevy dealer and it's almost $200.00 for that transmission shifting cable. Thank you in advaced.
