When should I get a tuneup

If you feel that there is a power loss or the fuel economy has dropped of, get a full tune up done, normally a tune will be done at around 20,000 Km intervals

Due to the many variations of ignition systems made now and the varying maintanence they require, the term "tune up" is really not used any more. Ignition parts are generally replaced as they fail. The only ignition components on your vehicle that get replaced automatically would be the plugs and that is not until 100,000 miles. It may also need wires at that point
