Bank 2 is the left side of the engine or the front of the car. Sensor 1 would be the upstream sensor.

So is there just 1 sensor and I should be able to replace this myself if I removed that plastic shield at the bottom?

I don't know what your abilities are or what will be in your way. The sensor just threads into the exhaust pipe.

I'm pretty handy with the wrench. I can see and touch the sensor looking down into the car. Me standing in front of the engine it would be on my right side since its transverse. Sits under the water pump, because the pump was leaking directly onto it.

Make sure you use a box wrench or socket to break it loose so you don't round it off using an open end wrench.
