2006 cadillac dts: CEL came on for Bank 1 O2 sensor per scan tool. Replaced O2 sensor and scan showed flat line. Drove car for less than 1 mile and CEL for same O2 sensor and output reading on scan tool showed erratic output. Bad ground, Bad ECM what could it be? Thank you

I don't have the code, since I had borrowed a scan tool. The code was exact for the Bank 1 O2 sensor. I should have wrote it down, but I thought it was going to be a simple fix.

Almost seems like a capacitor issue, but I'm guessing.

You're way out in left field with this. We need the exact code number to help you. There are dozens of different O/2 codes.

Alright, I'll have to go get it rescanned. The cadillac service mechanic is the one who told me what the code meant and how to reset it after it threw the code again after replacing the O2 sensor. It'll take me a day to get it done.

I don't even understand what your current problem is. The 0/2 reading is supposed to fluctuate constantly.

There are dozens of different 0/2 codes and most of them are not caused by faulty sensors. Get the code number.
