2004 Audi A4 Power loss

I own a 2004 Audi A4. Last week while driving it lost power and couldn't drive past 2000rpm. I checked it and nothing comes out of the exhaust, and the car's hood gets extremely hot.
Please assist...

That could mean restricted exhaust. Have the computer scanned for any stored codes that could get you pointed in the right direction.
