My car turns of once in a while and the code that the machine is reading indicates that cylinder 5 is misfiring what does that mean? It has no power and the motor acks like is dying. Sometimes I drive and the motor feels like it cant go anymore and also I have to celarate so the car can stay on.

It means something is wrong with #5 cylinder like a spark plug/wire, injector etc. Have a pro diagnose this so you can get all your powerback and better fuel mileage.

I just change the spark plugs and the wires because I thought that was the problem but it still telling the same thing, ive been to 4 mechanics, 3 out of 4 tell me is the cylinder itself trying to charge me $450-500 in labor and one said it had something to do with the gasket and coolant leakage I dont know who to believe and I dont want to go spending on the wrong thing. What do u suggest?

Misfire codes are very hard to diagnose it can be compression or any of the other things I've mentioned. Heed gasket leaks are usually found by pressure checking your coolant system as well as it being low on coolant all the time. If they believe it is a cylinder problem then a compression check would also show that. A 20% variance of pressures like 1350 in one an dand 120 in another would suggest something may be wrong. We dont' have that info available on your vehicle so it is hard to suggest what to do. Any competent mechanic should do a freeze frame on this car to make sure one of the sensors isn't going crazy causing it though

You fill it up with coolant and get apressure tester not sure auto parts have them to rent otherwise a pro will do it.
