2003 Mitsubishi Galant Galant power steering pressure switch

I was told by mechanic that I need a new power steering pressure switch for my Mitsubishi Galant 2003.
They cannot find it anywhere and I looked and can't find the part anywhere.

I noticed some people list the power steering pressure switch together with oil pressure switch like this for example "SWITCH, P/S OIL PRESSURE".

My question is can I use an oil pressure switch which is easily obtained for the power steering pressure switch?

Nope. Power steering fluid IS oil, as opposed to engine oil. It's just a different kind of hydraulic oil.

You might try looking up a similar Chrysler model on the Rock Auto web site and see if they show something similar to yours.
