I have a 2003 jeep wrangler- I had both door weatherstrips replaced due to water getting in & wear. They were ordered vin# specific from the dealer. They appear to be on the doors perfectly but when you close the doors, there is some overflow that seeps out on the turn downward on each door. You have to hold the weatherstrip in & push the door closed. Is there a fix or do I have to wait for it to settle? The roof & doors seem to be on correctly. Sorry for the long explanation, just looking for some help. Thanks

Can you post a photo and point to the problem? There are a number of fixes depending on what is causing the problem.

My daughter has the Jeep- won't be back until tomorrow. The only place that the weatherstrip is seeping out is on the turn of the door heading down the open end of the door. It's about a 5 inch section at most. I will post a photo when I get the jeep back. Doors close properly- you just have to push a small section in when you close them. Thanks

If the strip is on the door itself, there may a white plastic clip that is missing in that spot. Look for a small hole in the contact side of the weatherstrip and a matching 3/16" hole in the door skin. If there are no holes there, you can use weatherstrip adhesive to hold it in place. Place a bead of sealer on one surface, put them together and slide it around a little, pull them apart for a minute or two, then stick them together and hold it in place with masking tape for a few hours.

Both great suggestions- when I get the jeep back tomorrow, I'll check it out and will get back to you. Thanks so much!
