I tried to replace the spark plug seals on my 2003 CRV and found them extremely hard to remove. Do i need a special tool to remove? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

I looked up the part and Honda calls it the SEAL, SPARK PLUG TUBE.

Removing the valve cover and its seal is easy. Please look at the image that I attached. Its illustration #4.

Thank you

You need to punch them out. They tend to stick over time and you must be careful while punching them, avoid damaging the seats/housing. I self-fabricate a slightly " L " tipped bar to tap them.

Note the direction of the seals and do not install them reversely, it would result in difficulty in installing the valve cover over the spark plug tubes.
