One day when driving, car lights inside and out started flickering and then stopped. My radio locked up, ac wont work, and battery gage reads nothing. I disconnected ground wire connected to battery, grinded the spot where it was connected and then reconnected it. it last about 5 mins before the steps i explained repeat. got a clue?

It is possible your body control module has gone bad. I have seen it in the Impala many times and the Monte Carlo shares a lot with the Impala. Make sure you do check all your body grounds under the hood if possible. If you can have it scanned, see if there are codes in the BCM
