Hello, I know that using 4wd and turning on terrain that does not allow for wheel slippage can be harmful to the transfer case and drive train. I am wondering how much snow has to be on the ground before I can safely turn on my 4wd. Can I use the 4wd in the rain without damaging the drive train? Thanks in advance!

If you can't then buy an American vehicle cause all the 4wd US trucks can use 4wd all the time if you like. I'm sure your Toyota is the same

You are okay using the 4wd for a short time with no snow on the ground, here is more information on it. Before engaging 4WD, assess the road conditions. If you find your 2WD wheels slipping or if you have difficulty maintaining control, it’s a good indicator to use 4WD.
