Maybe you are in the same thought category I was in when we go my wife's car
I'm pretty much still driving in the '80s on back I keep our "old" cars (jeeps and fords) in good working order and they pretty much last forever
She just had to have a 2003 vehicle, I reckon to keep up with the jones'. It is a ford
I noticed that when I unlocked the doors with the remote dealee. Only the driver's side front would open. Hitting it again, the rest of 'em would unlock
. Odd?
Somewhere later on, I read somewhere that that was a "security feature"
Seems when you are being stalked, you can just unlock your door. Jump in. And the bad guy can't jump in the other doors along with you
This feature is most likely a more expensive crime deterrent to keep the bad guys away. Than the "wasp and hornet" spray and other deterrents we keep handy
Sad thing is, if you are in a panic, and really don't know why the locks would work like they do, most likely you'll push the buttons multiple times and let the bad guy in anyway
Maybe this is related to your question. Sorry if i've misunderstood it and throwed in useless info
