2002 Toyota 4Runner noises

I hear two strange noises when I'm driving my car. The first noise sounds like a chain dragging.
The second noise occurs when I back up. It sounds like something is scrapping against something else. I did take the vehicle to the Toyota dealer and no there could hear the noise. They did check the brakes and said nothing was wrong. If Toyota can't find the problem who should I take the car too. If you give me a possible name to the problem maybe Toyota can solve the problems. The vehicle is old and drives rougher now than when it was newer.

Check to see of the backing plate behind the brake rotors is rusted and rubbing against the brake rotor.

Also, does the sound change speed?

I haven't noticed any change of speed. Are you asking about the chain dragging sound or the scrapping sound.

If I go very, very slow when backing up I don't hear the sound but if I go faster the sound gets louder. Also I think it gets louder if I turn the wheel.

That sounds like a wheel / hub bearing. Have you checked them? Tell me which direction you turn that makes it louder.

I think I'm turning my steering wheel to the right. But I know it was louder when I turned the steering wheel to the left. So the sound occurs when I turn the wheels both ways.

If it gets louder to the left, then check the right front bearing. When you turn left. More of the vehicle's weight is placed on the right wheel which makes a bad bearing louder. If it does it both directions, it sounds like both are bad.
