Immediately after getting my timing belt changed my check engine light came on. I took it to a dealership and they said all four cylinders were misfiring. Could the timing belt be a notch or two off and that is causing the engine to misfire and run rough? The dealership did not replace the timing belt and my mechanic and the dealership are saying two different things.

Remove the timing covers and have the timing marks checked for alignment, with that question answered and if you still have the miss fire, then we can start looking into other causes.
