Unfortunately, there is not just one thing that can cause this. Below is a guide that will explain the most common causes. However, without some diagnosis there is not one thing to point you towards. Give this information a read and let me know what you think.
In the short term, the best thing to do is monitor the fuel pressure. You can put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and then tape it to the windshield. This way you can monitor the fuel pressure when this happens.
Next you can check to see if your Idle Air Control valve is dirty and clean it or replace it. This can cause the engine to die at idle. This of course is assuming that the engine is dying at idle. It may be coming to a stop or sitting at a stop light but the engine is at idle RPM and this could be an issue.
