Recently my car alarm remote stopped working. I thought it had a dead battery so I went to auto zone to go get a new battery and it still did not work. To add on to that both of the switches to unlock or lock do not work for both the driver side of the door and the passenger side door. The car alarm that I have for my car is from Mitsubishi. I am wondering if I have to reprogram the car alarm remote again or if its a fuse that doesn't work. Please help. Thank you.

If you changed the remote batteries it is very likely that you need to reprogram the remote(s) to the vehicle. They use a rotating code that the cars system recognizes and expects them in a certain order. When you change the batteries it interrupts the process and the remote becomes "dumb".

But you also have a blown fuse or problem with the door switches, which could be a bad switch or more likely a broken wire in the flex harness between the door and A-pillar.
These can be difficult to find without doing a bunch of wiring tests.
