My auto trans. lost second and fifth gear,which shift solenoid could it be?

Trans. shifts from 1st to 3rd,but I have to let of the gas for it to change.It don't go in to 5th at all.

most likely not the solenoid. it sounds like clutches inside.

if the check engine light is on, you might be able to see the area of failure.
