Power door lock problem?

i left the driver window open and water get betwen the window and the a/c stop working. The door lock system, the wiper relayand the ligth for the emergency brake stay on.0x

Out of nowhere, the passenger door lock no longer responds, has to be opened manually. Tried changing the fuse, no luck. It is a two-door and everything else, like power windows and the other door lock, works. Any possible ideas on this? Thanks.

You'll need to remove the door panel and check for power at the door lock actuator.

If you have power and it grounded properly you can suspect the actuator. If not then there is a broken wire.

I have Honda Civic with remote keyless entry. When I try to lock car with the remote the doors won't lock but I can hear the sounds & lights blink as if it working. But when I can lock the doors with my keys. What would be possible reason.

Thanks for your reply. I have a question regarding your answer. How do both locks stop working at the sametime if it is a door actuator. Wouldn't there be an actuator for each lock. Is the actuator located somewhere other than inside the door. Is there a simple way check to see if it is a wiring issue? Thanks again for your assistance.

93K miles. Has a remote key less entry system that stopped working a while ago as well as the power door lock panel that is only on the drivers side of the car. I've checked all the fuses and they all seem good. When I push the remote the lights on the car light up so I know that it's getting the signal to lock but the automatic locks don't work. And then when you push the automatic door locks on the drivers side door sometimes the back driver's side passenger door will lock or unlock, but none of the other doors do including the driver's side door lock. You can hear what I believe is the multiplex control unit under the dashboard clicking when you push the buttons as though it is receiving the signal, but that's all. Do you have any ideas on how I can fix the power door locks?

When I flip the switch on the drivers door to lock all the doors, all the doors except the drivers door lock. The same is true when I unlock the doors. I tried to use the remote to lock and unlock the doors and the same problem occurs. The only way I can lock or unlock the drivers door is by manually pushing the lock down or pulling it up. Any advice? Thanks

Had keys made for this vehicle and had to take apart door handle to get key made.
I have put it all together and after checking it to confirm it worked I put it all back together.
Now my drivers side door will not dissengage the lock. Even with proper keys. Seems like a solenoid which its' default position is to lock the door. No keyless entry system on this car. Can you help me "reverse" the polarity on this "solenoid" / door lock? Or help me understand how it works?

Thanks. I have tried that and actually had a hard time removing the inetrior door cover with door still locked shut. Ayyyyy!
Anyways I can see that everything is correct but even if I try and unlock it "manually" pulling on lock rods. It's like the car sends a signal to the locks and forces them to relock. Even though I have not totally unlocked it. Passenger side works fine with electric unlock switch problem is drivers side.

I was told by the dealer that an keyless remote can be purchased. That's great but I cannot drive it there yet as I am repairing some body damage to it now.

When I hit the "lock" button on my 2000 Honda Civic remote, all doors lock except for the right front - likewise when I hit "unlock", the right front door fails to unlock.
The lock button functions fine when moved manually. How complex/expensive is this repair? Can I do it myself?
