Idle speed was jumping and dropping?

When the engine was hot the idle speed was jumping and dropping, so I decided to clean the throttle body. The rpm idle was normal for a week. Today I was experiencing the same problem. However my check engine light wont come out. When the engine gets hot, the rpm jumps to 1000 and doesn't come back. I would appreciate if you could help me.

Have you had the codes checked to see what it/they are? Parts store will check them for free.

It sounds like the throttle body is out and needs replacement. Also, I would run the codes, this guide will help.

Here is how to change out the throttle body in case a code is stored for it, check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
