Is it the correct key? If so and the lock cylinder doesn't turn, the only real option is to replace it. It's a little involved, sop I would recommend a Chilton or Haynes Motor Manual for your car to describe the procedure with pictures.

IF NO, MAYBE THE BATTERY IS DEAD AND WON'T ALLOW THE SHIFT INTERLOCK SYSTEM TO WORK?
