BCM can be scanned at diagnostic link, but you need a Body scanner to scan it. Most DIY scanners will only scan "P" Powertrain codes.
High end scanners will scan all error codes, "B" body, "C" chassis, "P" powertrain, and "U" communication.

The "Front Electronic Module" is located under the dash on the driver's side. If you want to diagnose and scan this yourself, you are going to have to lay out about $10,000 for the scan tool to do it.

There is a front and rear electronic control module. The front is under left side of dash. The rear is right rear quarter panel. You may need a manufacturer's scanner to do what you need?
