If you mean can WE diagnose what you record, not very often over a computer. A better choice, if you're looking for the source of a noise yourself, is to find a tool called a "Chassis Ear". I've seen them on Amazon for a lot less than what the guys on the tool trucks sell them for. They are a set of six microphones, a switch box, and head phones. You clip the microphones to suspect points, then drive around while switching between them. You can move the microphones around to zero in on the source of the noise.
