I bought a 2002 Stratus that only fired on one cylinder. I was told that it needed coils. The car only fires on one cylinder and the coils are all good. What could be the problem.

Check the injection pulse at the other cylinders, check for spark let me know if it is weak or strong, check compressions.

There is no spark on other cylinders. The only one is the front one far left.

You say the coils are ok, how did you test them?

I have tried changing the ecu and the crank sensor and the cam sensor. All with the same result.I do not own a fuel pressure gauge but have researched it and it is suppose to be 49 lbs. When I un hooked fuel line and hit the key I had flow but not what I expected. Was told that this year car has a safety built in that if fuel pressure is low that it will shut the spark off to all but one cylinder. Can you confirm this?

I have never heard of that, I would be more inclined to suspect the coils, I will find the appropriate test for them, do you have a multi meter and do you know how to use and interpret the results?

I dont but I know some one that does. But if the coils were the issue why would they all work in the same spot but not the others?I did test the to see if the coils were getting power and they all are as they should. Just not getting signal to fire

I will find the test you need to prove the coils first.
