Check gage light came on and the battery gage is very low, we replaced the altenator along with a new battery, truck turns on but the check gages light still comes on and the battery gage is on the low side, what else can it be?

Voltage is 11.5, we exchanged the new altenator thimking it might've been no good but it still doing the same, can it be the starter?
