When the battery was jumped the car ran for about 45 mins then we turned it off and tried to start the car with out the jump and it would not due anything. We changed the battery and we changed the alternator, once that was done we tried to start the car again and had to jump it for it to do anything. The dash lights started to flicker and the dome light went out. When I stepped on the brake pedal to put it in gear to move the car shut off. What else could be wrong and could I get it taken care of?

Start by measuring the battery voltage with the engine off, then again with the engine running. Holler back with those numbers.
