My daughter was driving my car when it stated making clicking noises, then saw sparks on drivers side of hood. She stopped and put oil in ( it has been leaking a fluid which I think is antifreeze) she continued to drive and everything froze up and it won't start. Any ideas?

Oil does not cause sparks.

Its anybodies guess from here but you need someone to look at it as we cannot see the situation.

Would not create sparks either. Did it overheat?

Possibly, I was not with her. After she stopped the sparks stopped but she only drove a mile or so more when everything froze and it stalled and couldn't start it.

You need a shop to determine the failure for you. The fact that it froze up is not good.
