I just bought this car and the temp gauge runs at 195. It hasn't been loosing any fluid, so I'm wondering if this is the regular temp. It's a 2.2L Eco-Tech engine. If not, do they make a cooler thermastat for this engine?

Yes it is normal. Do not change to a lower one. It needs to run at this temp

It may even get warmer than that when idling because the cooling fans are programmed even higher than the thermostat. The cooling fans won't come on until up around 225 or 226 degrees and that is intentional.
