I agree. Any car can turn into a money pit, but GM wrote the book on separating owners from their money. Way too many computers that must be purchased from the dealer and programmed by them. They figured out how to make used computers not work on any but the original car. Their computers are high-failure items too. GM is definitely the least customer-friendly company. I've written five-page articles on the tricks manufacturers use to bleed us dry after the sale.
A '92 Plymouth Acclaim sold at a farm auction yesterday for $1000.00. There's a reason a Cadillac that's ten years newer is going for roughly the same price. People who can afford to buy a new one can afford to keep on paying for the high-priced repairs. People like me don't own them because we understand the stupidity of using a computer to run the heater and wipers.
