The fuel pump went. I paid for a new one. Upon driving, it stalled. Garage said problem with the clamps that secure the line out of the fuel pump. They claimed to replace the replacement pump with a new one. WHen I start the car, I have to pump the gas pedal now, whereas it always started without a problem before. I don't trust the garage anymore. Can I ask for a refund? If they put in a new pump shouldn't it start without a problem?

It starts and runs now, right?
The fuel pump might be the problem, from here, I have no way to tell.
What else did they do?

Sure it runs, but before they fit the "new" pump it would start perfectly, but now I have to pump the gas pedal to get it started. If a new gas pump is fitted, shouldn't it start clean without me needing to pump the pedal?

Yes it should start and run normally
That's why I asked what else happened, sounds like something got disconnected
