Sounds like 2 distinct problems. I would start with a visual inspection for a fuel leak and then I would use the factory scan tool for a look at the live data, seems as if there might be a gear monitoring issue in the trans or a speed sensor perhaps is beginning to or has failed. That's my guess from here with the information provided.
