I am mechanically inclined and do minor repair work on my cars. I would like to know if replacing the valve cover gaskets on my 2001 Subaru Outback is a job doable by a fearless but careful regular guy like me. Is there a step-by-step guide for this job available anywhere?

Sorry no step by step guide available but is a straightforward job. Remove whatever necessary to get the cover off, clean it and you can start reinstalling.

just make sure that you get the spark plug tube seals as well, some cheaper sets wont have them, best to get these genuine.
