gas gauge

is my gas gauge fused? It quit working all of a sudden.

It's probably a bad sending unit inside the fuel tank. Unplug the harness and jump the purple wire to ground (without damaging it) and them momentarily turn the key on. If the gauge shoots to full, the tank sender is bad.
