Ok. I went out yesterday to go somewhere after not driving for a few days. I got in the car and went to start it and got nothing. So I thought "eh no big deal I will just jump it when my wife gets home" I did that and got lights inside and the radio but I could not get it to start. After trying to start it the radio and lights go out and it seems to make an alarmish noise and the security light flashes. I have tried the key relearn method several times to no avail. I even called the local auto parts store and they had no clue. I tried to replace the pcm fuse but that did nothing. What else can I do to get the car started? I will absolutely not take it to a dealer. It has almost 250k on it not worth the money and I do not have the money.

So did you get a good fully charged battery in it yet? Also how did you try to relearn the security! What noise does it make and where does the noise come from?Have you made sure the battery cables are clean and tight?

I would hope I got a fully charged battery. I have hooked it up with my wife's car several times now. I have experienced alternators going out so I know it's not that. I don't have one of those fancy battery hook ups to charge it with. I have not looked at the battery this car is a weird one and the battery is located under the bench seat in the back.I did the 10 min on and off three times to re learn it

The sound comes from the dash and it sounds like a kind of faint alarm and the security light flashes with it.

Did the security light stop flashing before you cycled the key for the next cycle of trying. To start it and then let it sit in the run position till the security stood flashing or turns off?The first thing you need to do is have the battery charged and tested also make sure the battery cables to the battery are clean and tight. Hooking it up to your wife's car doesn't count for charging it having it tested etc. That's where we have to start before we trouble shoot else where because seems the trouble started when the battery died.
