I'm having a few issues:

1. Check engine light is on.

2. Having some sporadic electrical issues. The remote will lock/unlock all doors but not the driver's door. Also the power locks inside the car will not unlock or lock the driver's door.

3. The engine will periodically race while accelerating. I can feel the car shifting up through about 40mph (goes up to 3k rpm then back down). However, above 40mph, the car doesn't shift and the rpm's keep climbing (i've seen 6k rpm).

I don't have a code reader unfortunately. I was hoping someone had seen something similar to this in the past or could point me in the right direction with a ballpark of what's going wrong.
