Once you have a good battery, check the hoses and belts to be sure they are Ok.
Since the car has been in a garage for the entire time you don't have to worry much about weather related problems (that's good).
Check the coolant and engine oil (add if necessary).
Start engine and monitor dashboard lights and look under hood to see if anything look suspicious.
