ac not working?

I have an 01 crown vic, the air just went out when I was on the interstate. I took it in and they recharge the system, the whole nine. That didn't fix the problem, but I noticed when I turn the air on, it only works when I press on the gas. What could this be?

you need a new shop that can accurately check the entire system for a leak and give you a bid. it could be a variety of things but the only way to identify the issue is for a good ac tech to check it for you.

of course it would. good labor is never free. beware of the free stuff as it is a loss leader to get you to spend money.
