You need to start a new question, and please be sure to include the engine size and mileage. This was a conversation between two people. None of the other experts are going to see your addition or have a chance to reply. That does you a disservice. Also, a 2006 model radio is totally different than the 2001 in this question. The model number that was discussed here was only produced for one year, and there was a much better model that was a direct replacement.

If you have a remote amplifier, that is switched on through a digital signal from the radio. Either the radio or the amp could have a problem. There could also be a blown fuse for the amp.

I have a 2002 Chrysler town and country LXi. It has radio P56038620AJ. There is a multi-disc changer mounted below the radio. My problem is that the radio turns on but delivers no sound to the speakers. I pulled the rear two speakers and noticed that there is mini-amps hooked to each one. It seems that power is getting back to these amplifiers but no other signal. I'm stuck. I have read the other posts and am going to check to see if 12:00 shows up every time I restart the car. I wanted to give you my specific specs to see if you could help me pin point the problem.
