I have had a fluctuating fuel gauge for a couple of weeks and now my check engine light just came on.

The fuel gauge may be a broken baffle in the tank allowing too much fuel movement or a bad sender unit

Have the computer scanned to identify why the light came on. However. I have a feeling it has nothing to do with the fuel gauge. Most parts stores will do it for free. Let me know what you find.
