Check engine light

My 2001 cavalier runs great but when I shut the car off and take out the key the check engine light comes on really faintly and goes out. Could this be a bulb. When I start the car all the lights come on and go off like they should.

It cold be just an electrical overload or an intermittent problem. If you have the engine scanned they can freeze frame it to see if there is aproblem.
